What kind of event am I going to organize as a student?

It is important to have a meeting with other executive members of your club, student union, or graduate caucus before planning an event. Be sure to discuss some of the following things at your meeting:

• What is the goal of the event?
• How many people will be at the event?
• Which member will be in charge of organizing specific aspects of the event?
• How many volunteers will we need to help out before/during/after the event?
• What are some of the possible locations where we can hold our event?
• What is our financial situation? What are some of our funding options?
