Committees
These committees are, as always, open to every member of the Student Society. To get involved or to appear before a committee, contact the various Chairpersons.
Executive Committee
This committee generally coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Society.

Financial and Administrative Services Committee
This committee generally oversees financial and internal administrative matters of the Society.

Commercial Services Committee
This Committee serves as to generally oversee the Society’s commercial services, which shall include all food, beverage and retail services, and other revenue generating departments and/or operations.

Constitution and Policy Review Committee
This committee reviews proposals and make recommendations to amend, add and/or delete sections of the Society’s Constitution, By-laws, Rules, Standing Orders, Administrative Policies and Issue Policies.

Advocacy Committee
This committee coordinates the advocacy and university relations’ work of the Society.

Surrey Campus Committee
This committee provides an opportunity for discussion of issues of concern to SFU Surrey students.

Accessibility Fund Advisory Committee
This committee reviews and monitors usage of the Student Society Accessibility Fund.

Granting Committee
This committee reviews grant applications from departmental student unions and clubs.

Events Committee
This committee plans and executes large-scale events. These events can be hosted by clubs, departmental student unions or by the SFSS board of directors.

Extended Health and Dental Plan Committee
This committee reviews the extended health and dental plan as well as opt-out appeals.

Stipend Appeals Committee
This committee reviews any disputes regarding SFSS director or forum representative stipends.
