Surrey Campus Committee
The Surrey Campus Committee (SCC) is a committee of the Simon Fraser Student Society (SFSS). It is different than other committees in that there is only one board appointed position and the rest are elected in general elections. We are comprised of four Executive Officer positions, plus eight General Officer positions. Elections are held in April of each year. This structure is intended to foster the independence of the committee and to ensure that its priorities reflect the Surrey campus community.
The SCC is committed to building community at the SFU Surrey Campus. We are a point of contact for students to voice their concerns and suggestions regarding any issue specific to the Surrey Campus, where we will then try to address them in the most efficient and effective manner. We exist as a forum for Surrey students to discuss issues important to them and relate it back to the society.
The SCC is also active in putting on events at the Surrey Campus. We would love to hear suggestions from students regarding different things they would like to see happen at Surrey. Not only are we here to help your voices be heard, but we are also take it upon ourselves to provide a source of fun, entertainment, and stress relief during your time at SFU Surrey! All our events are open to all three campuses, so you do not have to be a Surrey Student to attend.
Several of the events we have put on in the past include:
