The SFSS Advocacy Committee meets Thursdays at 11:30 am to plan and organize campaigns and events that address issues that are important to SFU students.
The committee relies on volunteers to help with every part of organizing - if you feel strongly about any of these issues, please contact the SFSS External Relations Officer for more information about how you can get involved in current campaigns.
Campaigns
When buses to campus were badly overcrowded, the SFSS joined a community campaign called More Buses Now.
When the Provincial Government cut funding to SFU, resulting in fewer scholarships, bursaries, and staff positions, the SFSS (in partnership with the SFU Community Coalition) held a rally called "Save SFU."
The SFSS works for students’ interests both on- and off-campus.
