 Students at SFU pay more than double the tuition fees than students who attended our university only a few years ago. They're the same degrees, but the fees are substantially higher!
However, the fees have not increased with public funding. In 2008/2009, SFU and other universities in BC lost millions of public funding that was previously committed by the provincial government. In the 2009 September budget update, the BC government cut back over $70 million in committed funding from post-secondary institutions and student aid.
Send a message to Minister Moira Stilwell and let her know what you think about the cutbacks of funding the provincial government has made and how those cuts are hurting students.
