SFSS Forum and Student Unions
What is Forum?Forum is a campus-wide dialogue coordinated by the SFSS. Each month, a discussion happens on issues that affect students across campus. A new Student Union Building? Changes to parking and the U-Pass? Another tuition increase? Elected representatives can speak out at the monthly Forum meeting. Click here to download a description of Forum membership.
Who sits on Forum?Students are elected from their Departmental Student Union or Constituency Group. The Board of the SFSS also vote at Forum. For list a of current Forum representatives, check out the Roles and Responsibilities of Forum Representatives- Act as an advocate for students' rights
- Bring students' needs and priorities to the attention of Forum
- Have a say in budgeting and administering SFSS student fees
- Work with the University administration
- Engage in dialogue with students from all other disciplines at the university
- Advise the elected SFSS Board of Directors as necessary
A stipend of $35 per Forum meeting is tied to the requirements listed above.
