WARNING: if you share a bathroom or kitchen with your "landlord", you are legally considered to be a roommate and not a tenant, and you have no legal protection from the Residential Tenancy Act if things go wrong. Many SFU students have found themselves ripped off, or in dangerous or exploitative situations because of shady landlord who know how to exploit the loopholes in tenancy law. Protect yourself! Be informed of your rights!
