The Student Union Organiser Office is here to support Executives:
Workshops: get started with a “Nuts and Bolts Training”, Event Planning workshops, free Foodsafe workshops by the Fraser Health Authority, Roberts Rules workshops, and more.
Promotion: Organiser staff can help your student union or Constituency Group with classroom speaking and brainstorming other activities. You provide the speech and we'll provide the classroom speaking.
Training tools: Pick up a "Nuts and Bolts" manual from the Organiser Office or download the forms online.
Appoinments: one-on-one appointments can be set up easily. Training as a new Treasurer? Navigating SFSS committees? Executives fighting during meetings? email .
Student Unions and Constituency Group activities range from planning socials, developing curriculum changes, coordinating career fairs, hosting conferences, publishing journals, and liasing with the SFSS Board through Forum. Overall, DSUs and Constituency Groups are the foundation of the Simon Fraser Student Society: an effective advocacy body with 20,000+ members that address students' needs at SFU.
