Student Funding and Lower Tuition Fees
The Advocacy Committee has launched a campaign to increase student funding and lower tuition fees. Find here information about the campaign, what we're doing, and how you can get involved!
Facts:
- Public funding in British Columbia has not kept pace with the rapidly rising cost of tuition fees.
- Funding has been cut back over the last two years substantially. As a result, students at SFU have lost scholarships, professors, tutorials, financial aid and loan forgiveness programs.
- The cutbacks are resulting in a crumbling level of education.
We encourage you to wear a button to show your support for the campaign. Available in three colours!
We will be distributing information to students across campus about the issues.
We'll be asking you in the hallways to sign our postcards. We'll be taking them to Victoria to present to the Minister your feedback about how low student funding and high tuition fees have affected SFU students.
You may also email the Minister to provide your feedback. We have an email form on our website!
